About the Cabin Bank fishing for kings/reds (in season): Located upriver about a hundred yards from the cabin. Take a right from cabin door and follow the path down the river (below outhouse). Ask if you’d like to borrow rods and reels. Please exercise caution on this steep path. Breakfast: Let us know when you would prefer your continental breakfast or if you have any special requests, allergies, dietary concerns, or coffee preferences. Shower: Please see information located near the shower on the porch. Sauna: The sauna is a great way to relax and warm your bones after a long day fishing or traveling. Due to health hazards, do not use alcoholic beverages in the sauna. Stay hydrated and use at your own risk. Beware of hot steam when pouring water on rocks. Outhouse: Take a right from the cabin door and follow the path upriver about twenty yards. An outhouse is an outhouse, but you won’t find one with a better viewJ It is thoroughly disinfected after each guests’ stay. Pets: Pets are welcome to roam our woods or relax on our screened back porch. However, because of other guests’ allergies and our lack of electricity for vacuuming, we ask that you keep them in these areas. Guests who feel strongly about keeping their pets inside can do so for a $75 cleaning fee. Hiking: Feel free to explore the area. There is a path that runs along the river (towards the bridge) for guests to enjoy the river, view and plant life. Wildflowers, plants, berries, etc.: These are available in season and you are welcome to explore and pick. Beware of poisonous plants and berries—do not eat what you cannot identify. Please reference Alaska plant book on the coffee table. June is a great time to pick and dry Alaskan wild roses for stationery, book marks, crafts, etc. Emergency equipment: The smoke alarm is located above the wood stove in loft. The fire extinguisher is beside the garbage can. If you need anything: Please do not hesitate to ask. If you walk straight up the ridge from the cabin Liability: Guests are liable for damages and/or loss of property to Gulkana River Ranch Bed and Breakfast due to misuse or illegal activity. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. |
